Oliver + S school Days Coat

I Had been wanting to make this coat for a really long time and I finally got around to doing it. I actually finished it up about a month ago, but life (and a death) happened and I'm just posting about it now. The orange wool was upcycled from a horrible women's coat I got for $1.29 at Goodwill....score!   The linging is Alexander Henry mushrooms, and the buttons are dyed tagua. 

She loves and and so do I. 

Blueberry Scones

I love blueberries, especially in muffins and scones. I've been working my way through a long list of blueberry muffin recipes and haven't found one that's quite right yet and I've been getting a little frustrated with that search so I decided to try scones yesterday morning. I tried this recipe from Martha solely based on the picture that came up on my Google search (I do that a lot, making things based on a picture).

Anyway, my dough turned out way too wet for scones and I ended up working in another half cup or so of flour and they turned out great. I ate almost all of them yesterday.
